My own background includes a B.A. Degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara, a Teaching Credential from California State University at Los Angeles and a Master's Degree in Counseling from California State University at Fullerton. My Hypnosis training took place at the Cypress Counseling Center and the Hypnosis Center in Garden Grove. My professional affiliation, since 1983, is with the International Association of Clinical Hypnotherapy (formerly the California Professional Hypnotist Association,) a private professional hypnotist organization, where I have served as Orange County Chapter President, Secretary and Treasurer, and Executive Board Secretary.

I work with private clients at my office in Anaheim, and conduct workshops for the Community Services Departments of Brea, Fullerton, Stanton, Westminster, Whittier and Yorba Linda. In addition, I have facilitated stop-smoking sessions as part of the Tobacco Awareness Program which several high schools have implemented.

Is hypnosis the key to creating the positive, life-enhancing changes that you haven't known how to accomplish? Do you know that the proper use of your own subconscious mind is more "powerful" than "willpower"?

Hypnosis is a natural state that people go into and out of frequently. It is generally a relaxed condition that allows a person to be more receptive to suggestions than usual. The subconscious mind then takes the suggestions and lets them influence the development of natural new habit patterns, which replace those that are not productive, healthy or satisfying to the person.

An example of a response that many of my weight clients have reported is that some of the "junk" foods and drinks taste, smell or even feel strange and unappealing. When these same clients were on conventional diets, those same foods and drinks were extremely desirable to them. Clients find that they simply eat less and that they develop a very comfortable sense of being in control. Needless to say, the excess weight is released by the body in an easy, natural way.

Smokers find that hypnosis is one of the easiest and most effective methods for freeing themselves from the involvement with cigarettes. They, too, develop an easy, comfortable sense of being in control, and enjoy the satisfaction and success of living their lives as nonsmokers.

People use the services of hypnotherapists to improve the quality of their lives in many areas, from stress management to "past-life regression," benefiting from the insights this process can facilitate. In addition to helping people become nonsmokers and let go of excess weight, I have had the satisfaction of knowing that clients have passed important exams, can make trips by airplane and be free of previous phobic limitations, when these had previously seemed impossible.

I invite questions from my clients, students and others who sense that hypnosis is very likely the technique that can enable them to create the new, positive reality that had previously seemed unattainable.
